This week in Biology, our class will be learning about genetics.
The goals of this chapter of Biology are to compare and contrast the processes of asexual & sexual reproduction, describe the functions of the key cell parts that affect heredity, and be able to use a Punnett Square to accurately predict the genotypes and phenotypes over multiple generations.
This post includes two videos to introduce you to the topic! The first is on Punnett Squares by Mendel, and the other is general information about genes, DNA, and chromosomes, which are discussed in this portion of Genetics.
Here is an example Punnett Square, which is the same type of Punnett Squares you will be making in class and on homework.
